Welcome to the HCBDD’s Early Childhood Department!
The Early Childhood Department seeks to support parents and caregivers in their most important role: raising our next generation!
Our staff dedicate themselves to providing evidenced-based, high quality supportive services to empower parents and caregivers.
Early Intervention through the Hocking County Board of DD is available for children birth to three-years old that may be experiencing developmental delays or have a diagnosed medical or physical condition.
A Help Me Grow Service Coordinator assists families in selecting an agency to determine eligibility for Early Intervention. Here in Hocking County, Early Intervention provides families with additional support as they navigate through the services and resources needed for their little one.
Each family enrolled in Early Intervention can choose to utilize the services of the Developmental Specialist, who is trained in early childhood development.
Therapy supports are also available to children who may need specialized services to assist in the progression of language and motor development. To learn more about Hocking County Early Intervention, please contact Michele Hipple, Director of Early Childhood Program at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (740)-380-1315.
The Board provides allied therapies; including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, family assistance program and intervention services with a Developmental Specialist.
